Chief Operating Officer
Shadale N Jacobs is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Suda Institute, where she leverages her extensive experience in mental health counseling and healthcare consulting. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a master’s degree in Agency Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Shadale brings a wealth of expertise to the organization. Her career journey showcases her unwavering commitment to improving lives, particularly for mothers and babies through the Substance Use Network (SUN) Project. Previously, Shadale managed a Transitional Living Program, supporting pregnant and parenting teenage females aged 16-21, and pioneered an independent living curriculum for the program. She also played a pivotal role in state and federal program readiness for grant renewal purposes. Later, she transitioned to Medicaid Managed Care in Charlotte, NC, where she excelled in behavioral health service authorization, crisis continuum management, and forging vital relationships with national and local agencies, especially for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF). Shadale’s leadership extended to successfully transitioning crisis call center operations to a fully virtual model before the COVID-19 pandemic. Her dedication, expertise, and commitment to addressing social determinants of health define her role at the Suda Institute. Outside of her professional life, Shadale is a dedicated wife and mother who enjoys managing three family businesses with her husband, quality family time, travel, and being a Swim mom. She is an invaluable asset to our team, embodying our mission to positively impact individuals and communities.
