The Suda Institute is excited to announce that our 2026 SUN Project Annual Toy Drive is officially underway! We are calling on individuals, families, businesses, churches, and community organizations to help us bring holiday joy to the children and families we serve across Cabarrus, Rowan, and Stanly counties.
Through the SUN Project, The Suda Institute works alongside community partners to support pregnant and parenting women impacted by substance use disorders, helping connect families with compassionate care, recovery resources, and coordinated community support.
Each December, we host our Annual SUN Project Toy Market, a special event where participating mothers have the opportunity to select holiday gifts for their children at no cost. We also strive to provide wellness and self-care gifts for our moms, reminding them that they deserve to feel supported and celebrated during the holiday season, too!
Our Goal: Gifts for 100+ Children!
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, we provided gifts to more than 100 children!
This year, we hope to meet or exceed that number by providing a minimum of three age-appropriate gifts per child.
But we cannot do it without YOU! Whether you purchase a toy, make a monetary contribution, or sponsor a child, your generosity helps us create a meaningful holiday experience for families navigating recovery.
Three Ways You Can Help
🎁 1. Shop Our Amazon Gift List
Help us fill our Toy Market by purchasing new, age-appropriate toys and gifts for children from birth through age 18.
Purchasing early helps our team assess inventory and ensure we have enough gifts for children of all ages.
❤️ 2. Share the Joy: Sponsor a SUN Project Child
For a one-time or annual contribution of $150, you can help provide at least three holiday gifts for one child participating in our Annual Toy Market.
We welcome sponsorships from individuals, families, businesses, churches, and community organizations.
An annual sponsorship is an especially meaningful way to help sustain this event for years to come!

Prefer that we do the shopping?
Monetary contributions to our SUN Moms & Babies Support Fund help support community engagement activities and direct supports for SUN Project moms and children, including our Annual Toy Market.
These donations also allow our team to purchase gifts for age groups where we may have the greatest need.
