We are proud to announce that the Suda Institute has been officially recognized as a Promising Practice by the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP).
This national designation highlights the impact of our Substance Use Network (SUN) Project, a community-driven initiative designed to improve care coordination and outcomes for pregnant and parenting individuals impacted by substance use. The SUN Project brings together healthcare providers, social services, community partners, and families to ensure compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care is accessible where people live and receive services.
AMCHP’s Promising Practice designation is awarded to programs that demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and measurable progress in advancing maternal and child health. Being named a Promising Practice affirms the strength of our systems-level approach and the dedication of the partners and community members who make this work possible every day.
This recognition also positions the SUN Project as a model that can be adapted and replicated in other communities seeking to strengthen perinatal substance use care through collaboration and trust.
