Because SUN is a collaborative project, we want to help meet the needs of our partners and community agencies as we work together towards a common goal.
SMALL GRANT/FUNDING OPPORTUNITY:
- As we complete our final deliverables for the SUN Project in FY 23-24, we ask our partners if they have any material, supply or training needs, or additional service opportunity we can help fund by: May 1, 2024.
PURPOSE:
- The SUN Project federal funds are to be used to support new or expanded services to mothers with SUD or their communities.
GUIDELINES:
- The goods and/or services must be purchased/provided by June 30, 2024, to meet the funding period requirements.
- The funds must be used to meet the scope (purpose) of the grant listed above.
- Funds can support materials/items to serve mothers directly or the providers who serve them.
- Must be a public or nonprofit private entity.
LIMITATIONS: SABG restrictions 010122
Funds may NOT be used for the following:
- Gift cards
- Food/meals
- Cash payments to patients
- Hospital services
- Purchase of land or medical equipment
- Promotional items (such as pens, mugs/cups, folders, lanyards, conference bags)
- Supplanting (use of these funds to replace what was already being covered by other funds). This is to justify that you will be able to serve more clients or in a better capacity.

NEXT STEPS:
- Your request must adhere to the regulations, legislation, restrictions attached.
- Please send an email to [email protected] by 3/18/2024 with a brief (1 paragraph) description of your request and amount ($25,000 or less) needed to accomplish the proposed activity or supply needs. See example chart within the following document: SUN Grant Funding Opportunity for Partners
- Our team will review the requests to see which ones we can award based on fit and funding availability.
- We will notify you if funding is awarded. The expected timeline is 2-3 weeks.
- An invoice with supporting documentation for reimbursement must be submitted by May 1, 2024.
